Yesterday, the presidency came under criticism after making public the amount of loot recovered by the Federal government but failed to list the names of looters .According to the minister of information, Lai Mohammed, looters returned..N78billion, $185m, £3 million..

 

In response to the criticism, the Presidency, last night, defended its decision not to release the names of those who returned the funds. It cited the fact that while some of those who returned money were not in any way guilty of any offence, publishing the names could deter those contemplating returning ill-gotten funds in their custody. A top Presidency source, who spoke to Sunday Vanguard , anonymously, said

14 year old girl commits suicide after classmates release fake nude photos online and kept bullying her

14 year old Destiny and her parents moved to a new city and she started a new school. She was ready to make new friends and have her classmates like her but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Her friends didn't like that she was pretty so they got jealous and she became the target of a group of about half a dozen girls, and endless bullying ensued. It escalated to online bullying where they would grab nude photos of random girls and spread it amongst their friends and claim the nudes were of Destiny's. They bullied her so bad that she couldn't take it anymore and she hung herself in her room where her father found her.

Banks block 5 million customers’ accounts over BVN

At least five million bank accounts were deactivated by Deposit Money Banks operating in the country on Saturday night following the October 31, 2015 deadline set by the Central Bank of Nigeria for bank customers to register and obtain their Bank Verification Numbers, findings by our correspondents showed on Monday.The affected customers were, among other things, barred from withdrawing cash and transferring funds through Automated Teller Machines, Internet banking platforms and over-the-counter in the banking halls.

Findings showed that a significant number of the five million customers whose accounts were suspended had obtained their BVNs but failed to link it with their account numbers.

China unveils it's first-ever passenger jet!

China has unveiled its first-ever passenger jet built and designed by the country. The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC), which is China's owned aviation manufacturer, unveiled the first C919 aircraft at its factory in Shanghai yesterday November 2nd.

The single-aisle narrow-body jet is designed to seat 168 passengers, and has a standard flight range of 2,532 miles (4,075 kilometres), which means the aircraft can fly non-stop from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur or from New York City to Los Angeles. Continue to see more photos ...
